POISONING

If you are concerned because you know or think your pet has eaten a poisonous substance ring the vets immediately for advice.

The earlier we see your pet the earlier we can act and the better their chances. Waiting to see if they will be ok is NOT a recommended option, as once your pet is showing signs of poisoning it is often too late.

Poisonous foods:

  • onions

  • grapes

  • raisins

  • chocolate

  • macadamia nuts

  • avocados

  • certain types of sweeteners

  • paracetamol is usually fatal in cats
